There may be occasions where your puppy makes a mess inside the house. Do not get worried with it! Once the dog is done, make sure that you clean the mess immediately using an enzyme based cleaner. Enzyme based cleaner removes the smell completely. This is very important because dogs have the tendency to smell the place of previous urination and attempt to do there again. Thus, removing the smell from inside the house will help you train the puppy to toilet outside. If you catch the puppy making the mess, discourage him from doing the act by shouting a ‘no’ at him and take him out immediately to get done. Some people attempt to force their dogs smell their urination so that they do it again at the same place. Well! To be honest, it does not work at all. You have to put an effort into the training before getting good results.
Make your puppy understand that you feel happy when he does the toilet outside. Encourage him for doing the act. You can do it by giving him a reward in shape of playing a game with him or by giving him a bit of his favorite food item. This would make him know that his act pleases his master.
