Bathing Cats

Though, it is not compulsory to give your cat a regular bath, however, a regular bath will ensure great fitness to your cat. You must provide a bath to your cat whenever it turns out to be dirty. In most cases, cats avoid taking a bath and might get terrified.

You must remove dirt from its body through brushing just before giving her a bath. Try to soothe your cat in a relaxed tone in order to minimize its movements during her bath. Collect all the material before giving a bath to your cat. You can have a towel, hair dryer, shampoos, and a small amount of cotton.

Special cat’s shampoos are available at the pet shops or usual shampoo will serve the same purpose. Before applying the shampoo on its body, insert the cotton ball into its ears. This will avoid trickling of water into her ears.

Use a deep sink either from kitchen or from bathroom. This will help you holding her properly and restrict its movements. Give bath to your pet cat once or twice a month. You must be very careful while giving her a bath because it might have hydrophobia. It might scratch your body or bite you. Avoid wearing high quality dress while giving her a bath as it may tear them or wet them.

Two members from your family can give her a comfortable bath, one can grab her and other one can give her a bath comfortably. Don’t wet her ears and eyes unless they are very dirty. Apply the shampoo gently and give her a massage, you can apply shampoo twice or thrice in order to remove accumulated dirt. Wash the shampoo using water and cover her body with a towel. Dry its body with towel and then use a hairdryer.

If you are unable to give her a bath, you can visit a veterinary doctor. He will readily give her a bath. He will guide you how to rinse her body and how to control her movement, after visiting a veterinary doctor three to five times you can easily perform the job yourself at your house.

Bathing your pet cat will provide her splendor and keeps her healthy and fit. So, you must provide her a bath regularly.
